"Reno Huskies Lacrosse" is comprised of the JV and Varsity teams for girls and boys lacrosse at Reno High School, where it is an unsanctioned club sport. The program receives no funding from the Washoe County School District and must rely entirely on player dues and fundraising to support the program's over 70 student-athletes.
Student-athlete dues cover 65% of the program’s meager budget, therefore the remaining expenses must be met by fundraising efforts. Annual budget expenditures include field usage and preparation, rented bathroom facilities, referees, uniforms, equipment, coaching stipends and more. There are no extravagances or unnecessary line items in the teams’ budget, only what is necessary to fund each season.
We invite you to make a donation today and support our effort to Inspire our players to give their best and achieve success as students, citizens, and athletes; Grow positive and lasting relationships among fellow players, parents, faculty, administrators, alumni and community through lacrosse; Develop the sport of lacrosse from the individual to league level; Uphold the customs and decorum of good sportsmanship representative of the Reno High School traditions; and Become a premier program beyond Northern Nevada.

Our goal is to raise $32,000 to support the needs of the program’s student-athletes. A gift of $1,000 - $10,000 will fund necessary fees and expenses sanctioned sports receive from the Washoe County School District, that are not available to unsanctioned sports teams. As of February 13, 2018, our current funding priorities include:
Team Uniforms
Uniforms are one of the largest expenses facing our program. A uniform is an important part of any team's culture. When a player puts on the team uniform, he or she understands the value of their participation and what it means to work together toward a common goal. The boys JV team is in most need, as they are currently wearing heavy reversible uniforms which were purchased in 2012.
Referee and Coaching Fees
Unsanctioned sports must pay the required fees for game officials throughout the season and during tournament play. This alone exceeds $10,000 in costs. For the first time in our program's history, we will be paying the coaching staff a very modest stipend of $5,000 to be shared among 6 coaches.
Player Sponsorship
Every year, the cost to student-athletes increase, making the sport out of reach for some players. Travel required to maintain the competitiveness needed to win State Championships add to the financial burden. Player costs can easily exceed $1,000 each season. Reno Huskies Lacrosse is committed to keeping this sport available to all interested athletes and provides scholarships to those who cannot meet the required fees to play.
